There’s typically not as much buzz about the fifth single from an album. That being said, “Make Me Wanna,” the latest release from Thomas Rhett's debut It Goes Like This, is a little bit different.
"I’ve had it since I was 20 years old, so it’s been a long time," Rhett tells Billboard. "When we play the song, we are always coming up with new ways to play the song — which makes it really fun for us. It’s a groovin’ track, one that shows off a different side of who I am. It reminds me of a Saturday Night Fever/Bee Gees sort of thing. I’ve always wanted to put it out, and we’re definitely pumped about it,” says Rhett. “We’ve seen a reaction to it even when it wasn’t a single.”

“We try to put the set together to where we can have transitions that feel right,” Rhett says. “It’s like, you knock ‘em, you knock ‘em, you knock ‘em and then you give them a three-minute chance to breathe and then you knock ‘em out again. It never stops … Our set this year, there’s no time to breathe. I think it took until song nine until I could get a sip of water.”
